Compilation error in Northwind solution

Hi,

I've downloaded the latest source code and opened the Northwind solution.

I loaded all the projects for browsing and I skipped the message "Unable to connect to a database specified in the solution".
Building the entire solution resulted in an error : the referenced assembly "[..]DataActivities.dll" was not found...
Indeed there is no project "DataActivities" in the Libraries solution folder.

Can you help ?

Regards,
Pierre

NB: I didn't launch build.bat... is it a prerequisite?

Hi,

"DataActivities" was indeed missing from this solution. Problem fixed at changeset 15608.

Note that I rarely use this solution, in favor of :
  • Libraries.sln : used to create the binaries for the libraries.
  • Libraries.NUnit.sln : used to create the unit test for the libraries. It includes the libraries, and Northwind (the unit tests are based on Northwind), and is thus the most complete solution.
As for "build.bat", it is a script based on the previous solutions to compile the unit tests, pass them, and create the binaries for the libraries. We hope to use it in the future for continuous integration. It is unrelated to Northwind.sln.

Thanks for your interest.
